The Mandevilla started blooming as soon as it got hot.
The sunflowers I planted in June are starting to bloom.
This is Obedient Plant and it absolutely loves the heat. It can be very invasive and is often given as a pass-along plant. It is pretty this time of year but Beware if someone offers you a start of it!!
There are 2 butterflies in this picture that were being so playful. They were fluttering all through the garden. I was surprised that I was able to get this picture.

I love the pics! I am amazed that anything can live out in this horrible heat. Surprisingly, my cockscombs have grown huge. They got too top-heavy so I cut them and have them hanging in my barn.
I really like your sunflower. I have seed for those kind and was wondering if I could get them going and them have time for a late fall bloom. I love those deep colors.

Wow is it ever hot in OKC!! We are desparetly trying to keep everything watered..thank goodness for the sprinkler system, but I'm having to do extra watering now too! Your flowers are so pretty..love the sunflower! I have some obedient plant...funny name for a plant that doesn't obey! LOL....I just let it grow and pull out where I don't want...it is a welcome bloomer when everything else seems to struggle in the heat. Stay cool and safe. Looking forward to our beautiful fall days!
